SEO consultant services - Ben commenced full-time work in the Information Technology field
in 1987 as an Electronic Data Processing Officer, advancing to the position of
IT Manager, and serving time on the management team of a district council.
In 1994 he was awarded both national and international awards*
for Information Technology project implementations. (*1994 ITMG Local Government "Innovation Award"
and the *1994 AURISA (Australasian Urban & Regional Information Systems Association)
"Achievers Award"
Since 1994 Ben has worked as a free-lance (self-employed)
Information Technology consultant. He has been involved in projects as diverse as Geographic
Information Systems project management,
computer network implementation and administration, internet and intranet web
site design & development, and search engine optimisation.

An interest in development of corporate Intranets
led to involvement in web site design. The development of several web sites early in the evolution of the Internet e.g. BG (before Google!) led in
turn to an intensive exploration of the arcane world of search engine
optimisation.
One of the first practitioner's of SEO in New Zealand, Ben
began delivering SEO services in the days when search engines such as Excite,
Northern Light, Lycos and Alta Vista ruled the world, and Google had not yet
been invented!
Globally, there is a shortage of experienced, ethical and professional SEO
consultants and its not easy to find a reputable SEO company or
SEO firm. Ben currently delivers SEO services to companies in locations as
diverse as New Zealand, Australia, Alaska, UK and Thailand. SEO / SEM
(search
engine optimisation / marketing) services are based on modest
hourly rates, with fixed price contracts.

Ben splits his summer-time between Lake Brunner, on the West Coast of New
Zealand's South Island, and the city of Christchurch in the east. During
the NZ winter, he escapes to a warmer climate - and works from an apartment in
Bangkok, Thailand.
A
dedicated fly-fisherman, Ben also does a little work as a professional fly fishing guide through the summer...
"This has to be the best stress-relief activity going... walking up
pristine river valleys with nice people from the UK and USA, coaching
and teaching clients the skills needed to coax big wild brown trout to
take a tiny little dry fly!"
Aside from fishing, Ben has interests in hiking and mountain
climbing, and the abundance of local mountain tops provides unlimited
scope for keeping fit. "There is nothing like a mountain top to put a
problem into perspective!" J |
